I was on a rather contentious conference call when the boss man chimed in and yelled, "I don't care how it gets done, just that it gets done." My immediate thought was, "He really doesn't care about what his company is making." My second thought was, "He really doesn't care about his employees either." The process of how a company builds a product is the product. If that were not the case, wouldn't every company build the exact same product? Taken a step lower, the act of creation defines the individual. So if you don't care about how it gets done, then you don't really care who does it? Guess what? I don't care how it gets done either because it won't be done by me.
